Guild Rules and Guidelines

These are the Wagner Rites, as handed down from our beloved founding father, Lothe Wagner. Praised be his name.

1. General

1.1 Wagnerites is a social, casual guild for friendly WoW players who would like to communicate with other friendly WoW players to enrich the game experience. If you are looking for a hardcore raiding guild, this currently isn’t it.

1.2 Following from 1.1, this guild is open to players of all levels, races, sexes and classes – beginners as well as experienced players. If you have friends or alts that you would like to have included in the guild, ask an officer or the guildmaster to send an invite.

1.3 All members are required to read this document. Fortunately it’s not very long and it uses short sentences.

1.4 Yes we have a tabard, and it’s awesome. You can find one in the guild vault, purchase it from a guild vendor in a major city or ask the guildmaster to mail you one.

2. Behaviour

2.1 There are no activity requirements. Play and chat as much as you like.

2.2 Write in English when guild chatting (unless only members of the same nationality as yourself are online).

2.3 The limits to what you can say in the guild channel are wide, but please strive to be polite when communicating through the guild chat.

2.4 All members should feel free to ask for help with specific quests, levelling, and so on. However it follows from 2.1 that you won’t necessarily get it, so please respect no for an answer. This of course applies to boosts as well (and generally speaking, it is polite to not ask for boosts immediately upon joining the guild).

2.5 Do not ask other members for gold in the guild chat.

2.6 It is a sign of goodwill towards the guild to greet other Wagnerites upon meeting them. The traditional Wagnerites greeting consists of a physical greeting followed by the words “Hail Wagner”. Or, in the form of a handy macro:

/greet
/say Hail Wagner

3. The Vault

3.1. All Wagnerites with member rank or above have access to the guild vault/guild bank. Vaults can be found near the regular bank in any of the major cities.

3.2 There are currently three tabs available. You get access to these by clicking on the “+” icons in the right side of the vault window.

3.3 All members are free to take what they can use from the vault (please remember to deposit stuff occasionally, too). Mainly deposit items that are of some use to other players, i.e. you can put grey items there but don’t overdo it.

3.4 The term “use” in 3.3 includes items that you can personally use for quests, professions, and reputation gain. Grey items, however, may be removed and sold to vendors.

3.5 Any guild member who violates rules 3.3 and 3.4
will be instantly demoted without prior warning, and he or she will have to re-apply for guild vault access. The guild officers will determine whether or not such access should be granted.

3.6 The guildmaster and officers will remove and sell items from time to time in order to maintain free space. The money from these transactions will be added to the guild’s money tab.

4. Events

4.1 All guild members can organize and suggest guild events. And they are highly encouraged to do so because quite frankly the guildmaster is a slacker.

5. Initiation and Rank

5.1 There is currently no initiation test to the guild, but we’re thinking of adding one.

5.2 All initiates are instantly promoted to members upon joining, at which point they get access to the vault. If the recruiting guildmaster or officer forgets to do so, drop a reminder.

5.3 No member can rise to the rank of officer within the 1st month of his or her guild membership.

5.4 Repeated actions that are deemed by the guild’s officers or guildmaster to not be in accordance with the rules described in this document may lead to demotion or exclusion from the guild.

5.5 Needlessly pompous and elaborate rank titles will be thought out and added in the future.

6. Lore

Wagnerites lore is under development and will be unfolded on the website – in the fullness of time.

7. Suggestions & questions

7.1 Suggestions for events, invites, rule & rank changes etc. can be sent to the guild’s officers or guildmaster.
